COD: My parents were both small business owners. They always encouraged me to lean into creativity, strengths, and pursuing passion projects.

Q: Who inspired you to enter the marketing field?

AR: My grandfathers were entrepreneurs – it's in my blood. At age 8, I tried to launch a greeting card business. I took an off-site marketing class in high school + knew I found my home.

KS: After college, I was drawn to the energy of the ad industry – including the fact that we got cocktails at lunch. Over time, I found myself spending time in the integrated marketing department. I fell in love with helping produce creative ideas + seeing them come to life.

Q: What emerging marketing trend(s) excites you?

AR: Social-first everything.

KS: Brands showing their personalities + being raw.

Q: Your go-to advice for emerging marketers?

AR: Be super clear about the audience you are trying to attract + what they find valuable.

KS: Think like a consumer, not a marketer.

Q: What would you change about marketing if you could?

AR + KS: Marketing is what you make of it! The only restrictions are the ones you as a marketer / brand put on yourself.

Q: What inspired you to enter the marketing field?

EDF: I love connecting people to brands. When I started Wonderkind, it was with the intention of connecting brands to consumers at a larger scale.

EDF: 90's childhood, functional coffee, oil-free, innovation in frozen, in-person activations, TikTok, founder stories, and content marketing.

Q: Your go-to advice for emerging marketers?

EDF: If the target audience is someone like you, never stop asking yourself if YOU would resonate with the message, content, photo, copy, etc.

Q: What would you change about marketing if you could?

EDF: The idea that it should equal sales every time. I wish brand awareness and growing a community were more valued and understood.
